More information:

The festival is born from a collaborative partnership between the Marvão City Council, the Parish Council of Santo António das Areias, Grupo Desportivo Arenense, Ovo Estrelado Records, and Benefício Gin, as well as local businesses such as Barona beer. This alignment consolidates a shared vision: to make Santo António das Areias a place where contemporary music culture goes hand in hand with community life, sports, local commerce, and the identity of the municipality.

The musical program is curated by Ovo Estrelado, a new Portuguese independent label dedicated to authenticity, independent music, and artistic originality, with a strong focus on vinyl releases. The label already has two records released — Piano Impromptus by Afonso Sêrro and Soon After Dawn by Calcutá — and is preparing its third album by ACID ACID, a project by musician and radio producer Tiago Castro.

For the Benefício de Marvão festival, Ovo Estrelado presents two artists from its roster, Calcutá and ACID ACID, and also invites Violeta Azevedo, who will soon release her debut album.

Benefício Gin is a Portuguese ultra-premium gin brand based in Marvão. It works with local producers and resources from the municipality, combining innovation and development with tradition and regional identity. At its core is the exploration of distinctive raw materials with a positive environmental impact. Benefício Gin believes in creating products from endogenous resources, contributing to the uniqueness of its products and generating added value for the local economy.

In 2023, Benefício Gin de Castanha was the first gin to use Marvão’s DOP chestnuts. In 2026, the brand expanded its portfolio with the launch of Gin Flor de Cerejeira, distinguished by the use of cherry blossom from the Serra de São Mamede, blending the Japanese Hanami tradition with the mountain terroir of the Alto Alentejo.
